Cemeteries Can Help Find Family History

Edmonton runs guided tours of Mt Pleasant, Beechmont and the Municipal cemetery.
We took a guided tour of Edmonton Municipal Cemetery last evening. It included going into the mausoleum.
For anyone interested in the history of Edmonton, they are well worth the time (1 1/2 - 2 hours) and the money ($5).

Maple Flag At Cold Lake - Photos By James
A St. Albert's Place regular reader was recently at Cold Lake to take in the annual Maple Flag event. He wishes to be know simply as 'James', but has an obvious skill with a camera and sent us a series of photographs of various aircraft. We are presenting them a couple at a time in an ongoing series. They should be of interest to many of our military family readers.
US F-18D Superhornet (note the square inlets) just rotating up on full afterburner takeoff. Significantly larger than our own CF-18's, probably by 25%. The people on the ground I spoke with noted that the two aircraft share no common parts.
