A Trip To The Model Railroad Show
Our Roving Reporter dropped by the model railroad show held September 15 at the Mayfield Inn. Here's a look at some of the action.

The heli-rescue display. Note the rescue helicopter just below the bridge.

The LEGO midway display.

A UFO and crop circles.
Will DARP Benefit Residential Taxpayers?
Don:
The concept of DARP doesn't so much annoy me as it confuses my many attempts (over more than two years) to consider it logically.
I have put the following simple question to myself and to everyone I talk to. And I get only one answer back. I don't want to lead anybody by stating that answer.
Perhaps you'd poll your readers, Don?
The question:
If DARP proceeds, in what way will residential taxpayers benefit? Just name the most important way.

SINC SAYS:
An excellent question Deane. As for my take on the subject, I can see zero benefit at great cost to the residential taxpayers of St. Albert. We'll leave the poll here for a couple of days to give all readers a chance to respond.
Here are the survey responses as of 3:00 a.m. September 21, 2012:
