Do You Fart In Bed?

Do You Fart In Bed?
This is a story about a couple who had been happily married for years, the only friction in their marriage was the husbands habit of farting loudly every morning when he awoke the noise would wake his wife and the smell would make her eyes water and make her gasp for air.

Every morning she would plead with him to stop ripping them out because it was making her sick. He told her he couldn't stop it and that it was perfectly natural. She told him to see a doctor, she was concerned that one day he would blow his guts out.

The years went by and he continued to rip them out. Then one Christmas day morning, as she was preparing the turkey for dinner and he was upstairs sound asleep, she looked at the innards, neck, gizzard, liver and all the spare parts, and a malicious thought came to her. She took the bowl and went upstairs where her husband was sound asleep and, gently pulling the bed covers back, she pulled back the elastic waistband of his underpants and emptied the bowl of turkey guts into his shorts.

Sometime later she heard her husband waken with his usual trumpeting which was followed by a blood curdling scream and the sound of frantic footsteps as he ran into the bath room. The wife could hardly control herself as she rolled on the floor laughing, tears in her eyes! After years of torture she reckoned she had got him back pretty good. About twenty minutes later, her husband came downstairs in his blood stained underpants with a look of horror on his face. She bit her lip as she asked him what was the matter. He said, Honey you were right all these years you have warned me and I didn't listen to you.

What do you mean? asked his wife. Well, you always told me that one day I would end up farting my guts out, and today it finally happened, but by the grace of God, some Vaseline and two fingers. I think I got most of them back in.

Tesla Wants To Sell Future Cars With Insurance And Maintenance Included In The Price

Tesla Wants To Sell
Tesla has actually been quietly experimenting with this model in Asia by selling cars with insurance and maintenance included, Jon McNeill, Tesla's president of sales and services, said during the company's fourth-quarter earnings call.

"It takes into account not only the Autopilot safety features but also the maintenance cost of the car," McNeill said. "It’s our vision in the future we could offer a single price for the car, maintenance, and insurance."

Americans Are Having Less Sex Than They Once Did

Americans Are Having Less
It used to be that along with certain tax benefits, one advantage to being married was having more sex than singletons.

That benefit is steadily diminishing, according to a study released Tuesday. Overall, American adults are having less sex than they did a quarter century ago, with married people showing the most dramatic decline of all.

The paper, published in the journal Archives of Sexual Behavior, showed a drop across gender, race, region, education level and work status. One factor is the higher percentage now of unpartnered people, who tend to have less sex than partnered ones. But a major driver is a steady fall in the rate of sexual activity for people who are married or living with partners, which reduces what had been known as the “marriage advantage.”

Are New LED Street Lights An Issue?
Not According To Our Survey, They're Not

buenos-aires-led-street-lamps-01.jpg.650x0_q70_crop-smart
Yesterday we asked readers for their opinions on those new LED street lights that are being installed in St. Albert.

The poll results below seem to indicate that fully 69 percent of residents who responded to the poll are not troubled in any way by the new lights. There is no doubt that those who are, consider it an issue, but it appears there is no need for the city to make any formal changes to address any new lighting problems to satisfy the majority of citizens.

The few who even bothered to participate in the survey further strengthened the lights not being much of an issue for a solid majority.

Whispers

The Whisperers
A man was looking for a place to sit in a crowded university library.

He asked a girl in a whisper: "Do you mind if I sit beside you?

The girl replied, in a loud voice "NO, I DON'T WANT TO SPEND THE NIGHT WITH YOU!"

All the people in the library started staring at the man, who moved to another table.

After a couple of minutes, the girl walked quietly to the man's table and whispered with a laugh: "I study psychology, and I know how to embarrass people."

The man responded in a loud voice: "$500 FOR ONE NIGHT? I`M NOT PAYING YOU THAT MUCH!"

All the people in the library looked at the girl in shock.

The man whispered to her: "I study law, and I know how to screw people".

Are New LED Street Lights An Issue?

buenos-aires-led-street-lamps-01.jpg.650x0_q70_crop-smart
Ever since the city of St. Albert agreed to allow complete replacement of the city’s street light system, at no cost to the city, we have received complaints about the lack of sleep the new LED lights are causing in the city.

To be perfectly clear, the complaints have been few. A resident complaining had asked us to make readers aware of ‘the facts’ as provided by
this article from the BBC. Consider that done.

So we wondered if this was a wide spread issue with the rest of our readers. For the record, I personally cannot comment on the switch to lower power consumption, but apparently brighter lighting as our neighbourhood has not yet been started for light replacement, never mind completed. We are still apparently ‘in the dark’ with the old standard yellow sodium type lighting.

Having talked to folks I know in Akinsdale, where the new lights have been in place now for a couple of months, we have yet to hear a single complaint.

So, SAP presents this simple poll to see if this is an issue with St. Albert residents or not.

Please take a minute to select your response to the poll below so we can determine whether or not the issue deserves any more attention by residents.

The city of St. Albert has allowed new LED street lighting to be installed city wide. We would like to know your reaction to these new lights if your neighbourhood has them installed.

Last Round Of Golf

Last Round Of Golf
While golfing, I accidentally overturned my golf cart.

A very attractive female golfer, who lived in a villa on the golf course, heard the noise and called out, "Are you okay?"

"I'm okay thanks," I replied as I pulled myself out of the twisted cart.

She said, "Come up to my villa, rest a while, and I'll help you get the cart up later." I noticed her silky bathrobe was partially open, revealing what appeared to be a very nice figure.

"That's mighty nice of you," I answered, "but I don't think my wife would like it!"

"Oh come on now," she insisted. She was so pretty, and very, very persuasive. I was weak. "Well okay," I finally agreed, "But I'm sure my wife won't like it."

After a couple of Scotch and waters, I thanked her and said, "I feel a lot better now. But I know my wife is going to be really upset. So I'd better go now."

"Don't be silly!" she said with a smile, letting her robe fall slightly more open. "Stay for awhile. She won't know anything. By the way, where is she?"

I replied, "Still under the cart, I guess."

Sand Mining: The Global Environmental Crisis You’ve Probably Never Heard Of

Sand Mining
Times are good for Fey Wei Dong. A genial, middle-aged businessman based near Shanghai, China, Fey says he is raking in the equivalent of £180,000 a year from trading in the humblest of commodities: sand.

Fey often works in a fishing village on Poyang Lake, China’s biggest freshwater lake and a haven for millions of migratory birds and several endangered species. The village is little more than a tiny collection of ramshackle houses and battered wooden docks. It is dwarfed by a flotilla anchored just offshore, of colossal dredges and barges, hulking metal flatboats with cranes jutting from their decks. Fey comes here regularly to buy boatloads of raw sand dredged from Poyang’s bottom. He ships it 300 miles down the Yangtze River and resells it to builders in booming Shanghai who need it to make concrete.

The Philosophy Of Burma Shave

Burma Shave
For those who never saw any of the Burma Shave signs, here is a quick lesson in our history of the 1930's to the 1960's.

Before there were interstates, when everyone drove the old two lane roads, Burma Shave signs would be posted all over the countryside in farmers' fields. They were small red signs with white letters. Five signs, about 100 feet apart, each contained one line of a four line couplet ... and the obligatory fifth sign advertising Burma Shave, a popular shaving cream.

Don't lose your head
To gain a minute
You need your head
Your brains are in it
Burma Shave

Drove too long
Driver snoozing
What happened next
Is not amusing
Burma Shave

Brother speeder
Let's rehearse
All together
Good morning, nurse

Why Astronauts Are Banned From Getting Drunk In Space

Why Astronauts Are Banned
Travelling thousands of miles above the Earth, into the great inky unknown, is hard work. It’s stressful and scary. So why shouldn’t astronauts treat themselves to an end-of-Earth-day cocktail to unwind?

Unfortunately for space explorers looking to wet their whistle, consuming alcoholic beverages is widely prohibited by the government agencies that send them to places like the International Space Station.

But soon, everyday people might have their own chance to venture out to the final frontier — in the form of civilian trips to explore and colonise Mars. Surely booze should be permitted on such a harrowing, one-way trip that will take years to complete? Or at least equipment to ferment homebrewed beverages on the planet itself?

Update on Lawsuit:

Steve Stone vs Nolan Crouse

scales-of-justice-gavel
Editor:

Nolan Crouse has announced his intention to not run for office in the next St. Albert municipal election. This raises the question as to whether I am going to proceed with my pecuniary interest lawsuit as this matter is scheduled to be before the Queen’s Bench on July 26th 2017.

All we have is a statement by Nolan Crouse of a possible future intention and his recent announcement of his candidature for the leadership of the Alberta Liberal Party. There is no guarantee that he would in fact not change his mind. However in any event, justice should not be permitted to be circumvented by his announcements or stated intentions- even if he follows through with his plans.

I have been advised by my lawyer that his statement of a future intention does not affect the validity of my lawsuit. Therefore I have instructed my lawyer to proceed with the lawsuit as if Nolan Crouse had not made his announcement of his proposed retirement.

The reason I am continuing on with the lawsuit is that it was commenced to defend the principle stated by Mr. Justice Clement in the Guimond case namely that every citizen has the right “to the even-handed, independent consideration of his elected representatives on questions before Council, unaffected by any influence that could potentially flow from a direct or indirect pecuniary interest.”

That principle was valid before Nolan Crouse announced his intention to retire and remains equally valid after he has given public notice of a future intention which may very well change if I decided to abandon my lawsuit.

Airline Brewing Beer That Tastes Best At 35,000 Feet

Airline Brewing Beer
CATHAY Pacific Airways knows that passengers’ senses of taste and smell are diminished at 35,000 feet — and they’re reportedly compensating for it with beer.
The Hong Kong-based airline has announced a new in-flight innovation: Betsy Beer, a beverage specifically brewed with the “ingredients, aroma and necessary carbonation to taste great both in the air and on the ground”, Fox News reports.

Named after the Cathay Pacific’s first aeroplane, a Douglas DC-3 nicknamed Betsy, Betsy Beer claims to be the world’s first beer specifically designed to be enjoyed at high altitudes.

“We know that when you fly, your sense of taste changes,” the airline wrote in a press release. “Airlines address this for food in certain ways. But nobody has ever tried to improve the taste of beer at altitude.”
